I decided to attach illustrations of my venous sinus stenosis, so you could see what it is. It is a narrowing of the two major veins on either side of my brain, in the sinus region. The one on my right side is much less severe, and is called an arachnoid granulation, and I was born with it. The one on my left side i was not born with. It was caused by something, but we don't know what. It could have been my bike accident, or it could have been a clot while giving birth, or something else. The neurosurgeons said it doesn't usually happen as the result of head trauma, but they occassionally see it as the result of head trauma.
I've attached two views of the left venous sinus stenosis, with a red line indicating how that vein is supposed to look without stenosis (narrowing).
